Highline College Center for Leadership & Service

Being a college student can mean more than going to class and doing your homework. Participating in programs and activities outside of class helps you develop skills for your future, feel more connected, and enjoy your college experience even more. Involved students are also more likely to stick around and complete their degree.

Get Involved

Highline is a vibrant, inclusive and supportive community and offers many outstanding opportunities to get involved in leadership and service programs. Here are a few ways to get started:

• Attend at least one Associated Students of Highline College (ASHC) meeting every other Tuesday, 1:20–2:30 p.m. on Zoom
• Start or join a club
• Participate in campus activities
• Visit the Inter-Cultural Center and participate in a program
• Sign up for our biweekly email newsletter
• Stop by the Center for Leadership & Service and Center for Cultural & Inclusive Excellence offices, 3rd floor of Highline Student Union, to learn more about how to get involved.

Office Hours

Student Services is currently operating remotely.

While campus remains closed, the Winter hours of remote operation are listed below.

During the evening hours, 5 – 6:30 p.m., Student Services will be providing services for Advising, Cashiering, Financial Aid and Registration.

January 4 – 8:

• Monday: CLOSED (Furlough Day)
• Tuesday – Thursday: 8 a.m. – 5 p.m.
• Friday: 8 a.m. – 1 p.m.

January 11 – 15:

• Monday – Thursday: 8 a.m. – 6:30 p.m.
• Friday: 8 a.m. – 5 p.m.

January 18 – 22:

• Monday – Tuesday: 8 a.m. – 6:30 p.m.
• Wednesday – Friday: 8 a.m. – 5 p.m.

January 25 – March 26:

• Mon., Wed. & Thurs.: 8 a.m. – 5 p.m.
• Tuesdays: 8 a.m. – 6:30 p.m.
• Fridays: 8 a.m. – 1 p.m.

Student Services Operations will be closed:

• December 24 (Furlough Day)
• January 4 (Furlough Day)
• January 18 (Martin Luther King Day)
• February 5 (Furlough Day)
• February 15 (Presidents Day)
• March 12 (Furlough Day)

Employees and administrators do not work on furlough days. Although our services will not take place, all instructional classes will be held at their usual scheduled times and places. The upcoming furlough days planned are: Thursday, December 24; Monday, January 4; Friday, February 5; Friday, March 12; Friday, April 23; & Friday, May 28.
