“This year, Highline’s Cyber Competition Club competed in the Pacific Rim Collegiate Cyber Defense Competition at Columbia Basin College in Pasco, Washington. During this event, these students were tasked with defending a fictitious company’s corporate network from professional hackers and providing technology support to its employees. The event was an opportunity for Highline’s students to showcase skills they learned in their different CIS programs, including Global Cybersecurity Investigations AAS, Network Security Engineering AAS, and Cybersecurity and Forensics BAS. Overall, the competition was a success, and the students had the chance to interact with schools from all over the region.
