“The Lab Coat Project is an art exhibit collaboration between the MaST Center Aquarium and Highline College’s Arts and Design Club. At the MaST Center Aquarium we are challenging what a scientist looks like. Simply, science is investigating a question based on an observation. This means anyone can be a scientist! It is not just a person wearing a white coat conducting experiments in a lab. It’s letting our curiosity lead us to examine a phenomenon and gathering evidence to help us better understand the world around us. Highline College’s Arts and Design Club brought this exhibit to life by depicting science themes or scientists on lab coats. The artists decorated the lab coats with “what science means to them” which included plants, animals, and even shapes! The Lab Coat Project exhibit is on display at the MaST Center Aquarium from March to April.
