Winter Leadership Retreat

Held every year during the Winter Quarter, the Winter Leadership Retreat brings together students from across campus to explore a variety of leadership topics and build a community of student leaders. The Center for Leadership & Service and Center for Cultural & Inclusive Excellence invite students from all different leadership paths, from experienced student leaders to those who may not even see themselves as a leader yet, to participate in this retreat. The retreat will provide opportunities for students to reflect on their own leadership journeys while connecting with a community of student leaders at Highline.

The 2023-2024 Winter Leadership Retreat is going to be on Friday, February 2, 2024, from 8:00 am – 5:00 pm at the Duwamish Longhouse. Food and transportation will be provided.

Applications are now closed. If you have any questions, please contact cls@highline.edu or ccie@highline.edu with any questions.

  • Please know that applying does not guarantee a spot at the retreat. The planning committee will review applications and notify applicants if they are selected to participate in the Winter Leadership Retreat.

We believe that everyone can be a leader and that leadership is not about holding a position. Even if you’ve never thought of yourself as a “leader” before, we encourage you to attend to explore more about what leadership means to you. And if you already know you’re a leader, the retreat is a great place for even more growth and to learn more about yourself.
