“On Saturday May 4, 2024 Highline College Queer and Allies Club went to see Seattle Rep’s Fat Ham at the Bagley Wright Theater, in downtown Seattle. Fam Ham is a contemporary adaptation of Hamlet, by William Shakespeare, with the main protagonist identifying as a queer Black man. After the show, members of Queer and Allies Club got to participate in a meet and great with Fam Ham actor Aishé Keita. The students asked thoughtful, interesting questions and shared their appreciations. Some words the club members chose to describe the theatrical experience include daring, confident, professional, good story, creative, beautiful design, resonant, engaging, soft, and comforting. ” – Queer and Allies Club
