Marketing Outreach Design (MOD) Team
The Marketing Outreach Design (MOD) Team helps Highline College students connect with resources for their success by supporting the promotion of student-funded programs. We use our artistic talent and graphic-design knowledge and skills to make flyers, posters, banners, invitations, handbills and more to help share your program with students and tell the story of your program or event.

- Highline College ASHC-recognized student clubs
- ASHC student government
- Other Services-and-Activities-fee-funded programs
To ensure fair access to services, there may be a charge for printing and other materials beyond the policies listed below.
Types of Services
We are happy to consult with you for design and promotion ideas, as well as designing materials such as:
- General promotions for your program (flyers for recurring meetings, brochures about your services, banners)
- Materials for specific events (posters, handouts, digital materials for websites or social media)
- Logos for your group

Material Limitations
ASHC-recognized clubs and Services-and-Activities-fee-funded programs may print:
Weekly Club Meetings:
- Up to 30 flyers (8.5″ x 11″) each quarter
- Up to 100 handbills (4.5″ x 5.5″) each quarter in black and white on colored paper
- 1 black-and-white master copy to make photocopies
- Up to 4 reusable sandwich board (24″ x 36″) posters
One-time Club Events:
- Up to 30 flyers (8.5″ x 11″) per event
- Up to 50 handbills (4.5″ x 5.5″) per event in black and white on colored paper
- Up to 4 sandwich board (24″ x 36″) posters
S&A Department Events
- Up to 30 flyers (8.5″ x 11″) per event
- Up to 50 handbills (4.5″ x 5.5″) per event in black and white on colored paper
- Up to 4 sandwich board (24″ x 36″) posters
For special events involving campus-wide reach, 11″ x 17″ posters and banners (36″ x 84″) can be printed upon approval by the MOD team.
Timeframe and Requirements for all Services
- Submit your design request 4-5 weeks before your desired deadline (and more time if possible!). Please plan ahead while you’re preparing your materials.
- If you are an advisor, please support your students in navigating the resources and planning out logistics.
Steps for Working with a MOD Consultant
- Confirm all logistics for your meeting or event, including:
- Determining the type of event (weekly meeting, club social, etc.)
- Finalizing the time and date
- Reserving the location
- Providing main contact information
- Deadline for when you want to pick up the design materials
- Complete the Clubs Activities form (student clubs) or Campus Resource Request form (other student-funded programs)
- Brainstorm what kind of design and promotional materials you are looking for. We are happy to provide suggestions, but it’s helpful if you can bring your ideas:
- Type of design materials needed (flyers, handbills, etc.)
- Theme or colors (carnival theme, global, theme of blue and gold, etc.)
- Complete the MOD Request Form at least two weeks before your desired pickup date
- After receiving the ticket, one of our designers will contact you to schedule a consultation meeting. After the meeting, the designer will work on your project and send you drafts for review and feedback.
- When the designer is finished, they will send you a final draft for approval. To receive your files and prints, please fill out the client feedback form.
- Pick up your prints from The Center’s front desk! Your prints will have a stamp on them indicating when they were approved.
