Peer Navigators play an integral role in creating an inclusive campus climate. They support students with intellectual disabilities (ID) who are enrolled in an Achieve certificate program at Highline College with gaining the skills needed to successfully navigate the college system. They do this through demonstrating how to access campus support services, assisting students in progressing toward goals, and by promoting and supporting student membership and involvement in campus activities. Peer Navigators also assist students with navigating campus systems and coach students in navigating and succeeding in Highline classes. In addition to supporting individual students, Peer Navigators engage with campus clubs and help facilitate campus events.

Arcturus is the literary magazine of Highline College, which showcases the written and visual talents of our students, staff, faculty, and alumni. We are a student editorial team that brings a fresh concept to print each year in June. We, the Arcturus editors, are committed to centering the diverse voices and cultural wealth of Highline’s greater community.

The Associated Students of Highline College (ASHC) is the student government or advocacy organization for Highline students, which represents students’ interests and concerns to the college administration, faculty, staff, and the greater community.

The Peer Mentorship Program, offered through the Center for Cultural & Inclusive Excellence (CCIE), connects students with experienced leaders who provide guidance, support, and opportunities to grow. Through mentorship, community service, and leadership development, students engage in the ABC’s of SaME-C: Affirm Identity, Build Community, and Cultivate Leadership.

The Center Leadership & Service (CLS) Marketing Outreach Design (MOD) Team helps Highline College students connect with resources for their success by supporting the promotion of student-funded programs. We use our artistic talent and graphic-design knowledge and skills to make flyers, posters, banners, invitations, handbills and more to help share your program with students and tell the story of your program or event.

Student Clubs and Organizations are an essential part of Highline College’s community. Clubs and organizations have been organized by Highline College students with common interests and career goals. Clubs offer a comfortable atmosphere for students to experience personal growth, gain leadership skills, meet new friends, and share common interests.

The Community Pantry serves anyone with a College ID number! We serve fresh fruits and vegetables, bread, meats, sandwiches, salads, wraps, non-perishables, pasta, and canned goods (pantry items vary daily). You can find the Community Pantry on the northeast edge of campus on the north side of Building 16.

The d-Center in 22-204 is a dedicated, low-sensory space for students with apparent and non-apparent, diagnosed and undiagnosed disabilities to explore their identities, build community, and expand their leadership skills. The center will host and co-sponsor campus events, workshops, and programming focused on disability justice, equity, intersectionality, and advocacy while fostering connections between disabled students and the broader campus community. Beyond traditional accessibility services, the d-Center aims to celebrate disability culture as a valued form of human diversity, challenge ableist assumptions, and create opportunities for peer support, networking, and student-led institutional transformation.

Global Programs at Highline College create opportunities for students, faculty, and staff to engage in meaningful international education and experiences. The Global Student Ambassadors (GSA) are a group of students who plan programs and events throughout the year to connect the global community on campus. These students are dedicated to creating fun, educational, and memorable moments for our community outside of the classroom. Through their programs and events, they seek to foster connections and help their fellow students develop an international scope to their academic experience. Highline’s programs—ELL ExCEL, High School Success, Pathway to College, High School Completion, and High School Plus—support youth and adults ages 16 and older in earning a high school diploma while potentially gaining college credit. Each program serves a unique group of students, yet our flexible structure allows students to transition between programs as they progress academically and prepare for college. We welcome students from all school districts.

The Inter-Cultural Center (ICC) engages the entire campus community. The center provides a space where people can share and celebrate their authentic selves through dialogue and activities, engage in social justice advocacy, build knowledge about global movements, and develop as change agents.

The International Student Program hosts fun and engaging events where international and domestic students can come together. These gatherings give students the chance to connect, share cultures, make new friends, and enjoy being part of a welcoming community. Our goal is to create spaces where everyone feels included and can have memorable experiences beyond the classroom.

The Intramural Sports Program at Highline College provides students, faculty and staff with opportunities for recreation, exercise, and fun in a relaxed, yet structured environment. The program offers a variety of both competitive and recreational sports and events.

Juntos is the NEW learning community at Highline College geared toward incoming Latinx/Hispanic/Latina/o/e-identified students. Juntos is a supportive space focusing on the unique needs of Latinx/Hispanic students. Juntos centers acknowledging historical and systemic barriers to academic achievement and offers culturally relevant curriculum, mentorship programs, and peer support networks.

The Highline MESA program empowers students through mentorship, academic support, and interactive workshops that strengthen their pathways to higher education in STEM. Working with the MESA Director and Faculty Sponsor, students create personalized success plans to excel academically, transfer to four-year institutions as STEM majors, and prepare for future careers as innovative STEM leaders.

The Highline Public Speaking Center offers 30-minute tutoring sessions designed to support every stage of your presentation journey. Our tutors can help you brainstorm topics, create outlines, and strengthen your research. We also provide guidance on building effective PowerPoint slides, managing speaking anxiety, practicing your delivery, and refining your on-camera presence—so you can feel confident and prepared in any setting.

The Q Center is a LGBTQIA+ resource center for students to connect, receive resources, and engage with LGTBQIA+ programming and activities.

Campus View Student Housing is the first, and only, on-campus housing option at Highline College. The 2- and 4-bedroom apartments are fully furnished and available only to students attending Highline or affiliated partner institutions.

Running Start is a dual credit program in Washington State that allows high school juniors and seniors to take college courses while earning both high school and college credit. At Highline, the Running Start team supports students every step of the way—from enrolling and navigating college life to achieving their academic goals—through personalized advising and support services. Highline’s student-produced newspaper, is published every Thursday during fall, winter, and spring quarters with support from student S&A fees. We welcome letters and guest commentary from the campus community and submissions of up to 400 words can be sent to our email with contact information for confirmation.

The TRiO and TRiO Achievers programs are located in the TRiO Student Support & Retention Services (SSS) Department at Highline College. The Highline College TRiO Talent Search (TS) is a federally funded educational opportunity program funded by the US Department of Education.

Umoja, a Kiswahili word meaning “unity,” is a community and resource at Highline College dedicated to enhancing the cultural and educational experiences of African American and other students. By centering the voices and histories of students, Umoja fosters self-efficacy and builds a strong foundation for academic success. Through curriculum, pedagogy, and community connection, Umoja supports and promotes student achievement while honoring the legacy of the African and African American Diasporas.

We mainly work with Veterans and dependents of 100% disabled veterans. We process their enrollment and ensure students using VA education benefits follow both Highline College and the VA policies. We attempt to assist the students with resources through the VA.

The Wellness Center is a 3,000-square-foot fitness space designed to help you stay active and healthy. Equipped with treadmills, elliptical trainers, stationary bikes, Cybex resistance machines, free weights, and dumbbells, it offers something for everyone—whether you’re focused on cardio, strength, or flexibility training. The center is used for Physical Education classes and is also open to students, faculty, and staff during scheduled hours (closed summer quarter).

Women’s Programs & WorkFirst (WP/WF) at Highline College is dedicated to promoting student success by creating an inclusive, gender-affirming, and safe environment for all prospective and current students as well as community members. Our services focus on empowering student parents through personalized support—including academic advising, college navigation, career exploration, life skills development, and referrals to non-academic resources both on- and off-campus.

The Workforce Education Services Department prioritizes inclusivity for all students and fosters a nurturing atmosphere that welcomes and values everyone. WES assists students in enhancing their academic abilities to prepare for their career goals, provides campus and community resources to increase retention, and encourages students to overcome obstacles to achieve their professional objectives.
